Going to a girls school - the reality

Hey there, this is Sam typing! As I was trying to think of a topic for this week's post, I settled for writing about something I know a lot about, like an all girls school - after all, we do go to one.

When most people hear the words "all girls school", they immediately think 'ew, a bunch of boring lesbians.' Let me tell you, it's more like a hormone-infested swamp!
But there are some perks.
Like when you've run out of pads and it's an emergency, you can ask anyone (and I mean anyone) for one, and best of all, there are no boys to hide them from! Shame is a thing of the past! So, if you have a wedgie, take it out right there on the stairs gurl!
Seeing as there are no boys, any male roles in school productions have to be played by girls, which is something horrifyingly awkward to watch when you're year 7 (and they look so convincing as boys you begin to wonder if they're real, until you catch a flash of long hair).

Personally, my favourite part is the fights, The best ones are where you can see two girls screaming and pulling each other's hair extensions out.

But it's not all fun and hormones.
In pretty much every school, a lot of girls have handbags, but in my school, there are too many huge bags terrorising me down every corridor to count. You know how the riot police have plastic shields to push through mobs? Handbags are like that. And sometimes you get hit by them (e.g I was once hit by a huge handbag, and it left bruises (though I may be exaggerating slightly)).

There are some horrible times when you will find period blood in the toilets/on a chair. You just gotta repress those memories.
You can find hair (and the occasional fake nail) everywhere. It's about as common as paper.
Selfies also play a huge part in the dynamic of a female only school. Let's take a selfie here, there, and one more for luck. Ooh, what filter should I use? Everyone, like my pic on Instagram!

That my friends, is the reality of going to an all girls school
I probably just made your opinion of them a lot worse.
Oops.

Farewell readers

P.S. I'm not saying all girl schools are like this, maybe ours is just "special" ;)
